We have now moved to a new apartment to create a home, to begin a new journey. Our former apartment was never a home; it was a storage shed with much growth but also much pain and paralysis.
Our new home has a living room full of boxes to unpack; I have been too busy with cleaning up the old apartment and also returning to work. My loved one has been overwhelmed by the significant change and turned to the coping mechanism they know best, alcohol.
While the last of our things was unloaded in our new home, I had a crushing feeling of overwhelm and exhaustion. This lasted for a couple of days. But last night I finally shed the weight and my optimism and excitement returned.
This will be a new journey for me and I am thrilled to be on it.
